Foreign Ministry responds to powerful earthquake in Venezuela: Ready to provide assistance based on Venezuela's needs

  At the regular press conference on the 25th, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun answered questions regarding the powerful earthquake in Venezuela. He stated that China extends its sincere condolences to the Government of Venezuela and the affected people. China believes that under the leadership of the Venezuelan government, the Venezuelan people will surely overcome the disaster and rebuild their homes at an early date. China stands ready to provide all possible assistance through appropriate means in light of Venezuela’s needs. Guo Jiakun said China is closely following developments of the earthquake disaster in Venezuela and maintains close communication with the Chinese Embassy in Venezuela. Up to now, there have been no reports of casualties among Chinese citizens.
