Two Japanese nationals have been lawfully detained by competent Chinese authorities for violating Chinese laws.

In response to reports that two Japanese nationals were detained in Dalian, Guo Jiakun, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, answered questions at the regular press briefing on the 24th. He stated that as far as we know, the two Japanese nationals have been lawfully detained by competent Chinese authorities for violating Chinese laws, and China has informed Japan of relevant details of the case. We wish to stress that Japan should educate and remind its citizens and enterprises in China to abide by Chinese laws and regulations.
