The first Chinese New Year overseas delegation to promote economic and trade cooperation in Kazakhstan

On February 11th, the China Kazakhstan Entrepreneur and Trade Fair was held in Astana. Ren Hongbin, President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, led a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs to attend the conference and deliver speeches. Batalov, Chairman of the "Atameken" National Entrepreneurs Association of Kazakhstan, Han Chunlin, Chinese Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Wang Guoquan, representative of the Chinese Chairman of the China Kazakhstan Entrepreneurs Committee and Vice General Manager of CITIC Group, and more than 200 business people from China and Kazakhstan attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

Ren Hongbin stated that organizing Chinese companies to visit Kazakhstan for economic and trade negotiations is a practical action to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, as well as a pragmatic move to promote cooperation between the business communities of the two countries. At present, China is promoting Chinese path to modernization with high-quality development, and continues to expand high-level opening up. China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) is willing to work with Kazakhstan to lead the high-quality joint construction of the "the Belt and Road", jointly prepare and hold a series of activities such as the China Central Asia Industrialists Committee meeting held in Kazakhstan this year and the SCO Business Forum held in China, promote enterprises of both sides to deepen trade, investment and industrial chain supply chain cooperation, jointly address the unstable factors of global economic and trade development, and further consolidate the permanent comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Kazakhstan.

Batalov said that Kazakhstan is a reliable partner and key participant of the the Belt and Road Initiative. The Atameken National Entrepreneurs Association will strive to create a favorable business environment for foreign investors, including China. The Atameken National Entrepreneurs Association organized Harbin enterprises to participate in the second Chain Expo and gained a lot. It will actively organize enterprises and local governments to participate in the third Chain Expo, work together with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and build more platforms to promote cooperation between the business communities of the two countries.

Han Chunlin stated that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Kazakhstan 33 years ago, China Kazakhstan relations have continuously achieved leapfrog development, reaching the highest historical level of permanent comprehensive strategic partnership and setting a good example of neighborly and friendly cooperation internationally. In recent years, under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, pragmatic economic and trade cooperation has entered the "fast lane", and China has maintained its position as Kazakhstan's largest trading partner and an important source of investment for Kazakhstan. China is willing to work together with Kazakhstan to promote the expansion of the "basic base" of energy and mineral resources trade between the two countries' enterprises, explore new growth points such as new energy and agricultural products, cultivate new formats such as cross-border e-commerce and digital economy, promote the development of service trade, and achieve the goal of doubling the trade volume set by the two heads of state as soon as possible.

Wang Guoquan stated that as the Chinese chairman unit of the China Kazakhstan Entrepreneurs Committee, CITIC Group will further expand mutually beneficial cooperation areas, strengthen cooperation in traditional fields such as energy, minerals, and infrastructure, and increase cooperation in agriculture, new energy, artificial intelligence, green economy, and other areas; Further enrich the connotation of financial services and empower the high-quality development of China Kazakhstan economy and trade with a steady stream of "living water"; We will further build an open and shared ecosystem, hold the eighth meeting of the China Kazakhstan Entrepreneurs Committee and other activities, and contribute CITIC strength to deepening bilateral economic and trade cooperation and supporting the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road".

This economic and trade negotiation conference is jointly organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Atameken National Entrepreneurs Association, with the theme of "further expanding China Kazakhstan trade and industrial cooperation". During the conference, representatives from the Chinese and Kazakh business communities conducted in-depth discussions on key areas of cooperation such as oil and gas trade, clean energy, agricultural cooperation, and international logistics. Representatives from Chinese and Kazakh enterprises signed 8 cooperation agreements on site, including the China Kazakhstan Energy Strategic Cooperation Agreement and the China Kazakhstan Agricultural Product Import and Export Agreement.
